The CCC

Based at the University of New Mexico branch campus in Taos, The CCC focuses on providing local young people and those returning to school with an academic/career path in Natural Resources Management.

Students in The CCC earn their Associate Degree in Pre-Science at UNM-Taos and then go on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Biology, or Geology at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas.

UNM-Taos is one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation. The campus provides modern facilities in a beautiful setting for very low costs. Highlands is only a 90- minute drive from Taos. The small, public university is inexpensive and is highly respected by Natural Resource Management agencies. Job placement for students who earn a B.S. in Forestry from Highlands is near 100%.
